the ope! podcast was created because I saw a need for open and honest discussion happening in my context that just wasn't happening. as a progressive midwesterner who also happens to be a christian, many things are misconstrued about me and the people like me here. we not only exist but are working to make changes where we can. i hope that through this podcast people can learn more about me and people like me, about life in the midwest, and how progressives can live here and make change!
